Camp Schedule
Monday
Students will…
- Be introduced to Make Code Interface and the Micro:bit device.
- Learn about strings, loops, and basic algorithms
- Create a digital Name badge
- Design and Create their own digital animation
Tuesday
Students will…
- Learn about the i/o model, input handling and variables.
- Create an emotion toggle badge that uses buttons as input.
- Create a step counter that uses the accelerometer as input
Wednesday
Students will…
- Learn about randomized numbers, conditional selection, comparative operators and logic in programming.
- Create a night light using the light sensors as input.
- Create a rock, paper, scissors game.
Thursday
Students will…
- Dive deeper into algorithms, sequences, tempo, and sounds.
- Create a digital pet that responds to touch, shakes, and sounds.
- Design and code their own beat maker.
Friday
Students will…
- Apply all learned skills in a group project to design and create an original activity
- Emphasize collaboration, creativity, and applying programming concepts.
- Present activity to the group, sharing achievements and learning experiences.
Certificate Of Achievement
Upon successfully completing the coding camp, students will receive a certificate recognizing their achievement. This certificate serves as a testament to their dedication and newly acquired skills in coding and robotics. It highlights their hands-on experience with programming, problem-solving, and innovation, demonstrating their ability to design, build, and code their own projects.
